5 Organizational tips for crafters

I love this quote by Ben Franklin-"For every minute spent organizing, an hour is earned." It is so true. If you spend 5 minutes looking for one supply and if it is five things that take you 5 minutes, then twenty-five minutes you have wasted. Think about it.....

So the five tips for today-
Don't procrastinate
The longer you wait to organize your space, the more difficult it will become. Now is a great time to start!
Schedule time for crafting AND for clean up
When you plan time to craft, be sure and also schedule time to clean up your space.
Archive your supplies
Keep a record of what you have. Don't just rely on memory. If possible make it easy to access when away from home so you can double check if you already have a specific color.
Everything gets a home
Store supplies in the proper place. Things will get lost if you don't have a home. You can even use labels to help remember where supplies go, but NEVER label anything miscellaneous. You'll also save time during clean up if you put supplies away as you go.
Let things go
Declutter regularly and keep only what you'll need. Don't hang onto those scraps of paper you've had for years. Dispose of old ink pads you don't have refills for. Throw away dried up markers. Sell it, throw it, donate it! Have a plan of where you'll discard items. Will you sell it, throw it away or donate it? Set piles for each as you declutter your space.

Peekaboo card using beautiful you

I had a request to do a video on the peekaboo card. My peekaboo card is a direct copy of Francine Martin, so the design of the card all credit goes to her. I did change up the front and the inside using the stampset Beautiful You. This is a really fun card to make. The first one might seem a little hard but after you figure it out, it's easy. Wow! Another great use

Found another Great news for our circle Tab punch.
Punch out the coordinating card stock to the color you are using and staple it to the top your sponge. Serves two purposes-remind you what colors on the sponge and it keeps your fingers clean.

Life and Coffee...

This is a simple gate fold card using the Coffee Cafe Bundle and it says a lot about life.
Life can sometimes be messy just like the first layer of the card with the round coffee stains. So how do we deal with it? We order a Mocha Latte and enjoy.  I love the  saying! "Life Happens Coffee Helps"  I know life is not that easy, but sometimes receiving a card that says - hey I care- makes the messy easier to live through.
This card is another one of the projects from my upcoming Class on August 30 or 31st. Order the bundle and Coffee Break DSP and get five projects for free. CLICK HERE if you would like more information on my upcoming class. I have listed below the products needed to make the card.

You are the Best!

I was hanging out at my studio creating some cards for my upcoming Card Buffet next month. Started working with the pocket framlits die and the Naturally Eclectic designer series paper and out popped this beautiful real red , Whisper white and Not Quite Navy Card.  I used the Wild About Flowers stamp set for the beautiful flowers on the card base and embossed the Real Red strip with the Garden Trellis Embossing Folder. The blue decorative strip came from the Flourish Thinlets die and the label on the front of the pocket came from the Label Me Pretty bundle. Got a love those bundles when they save you 10%!  If you would like to order any of the products please go to See below for product identification, cost and numbers. Keep in mind that you get hostess rewards to for a qualifying order.
