At my last Uptown Card Class the stampers had choices. They could make a box which would hold some cookies or a small gift or they could turn the box into a card. I have pictures above and I think both are just darling. The small box, fabric bow, designer series paper and stamp set is from the Holiday Mini. To make the card we just used a piece of Crumb Cake card stock folded in half along with the designer series paper and stamp set from the Holiday Mini. I ordered 30 of the boxes and I am going to fill them with sugar cookies made with Stampin' Up! Cookie Press. Then I am going to give them to friends and folks who have provided me service through out the year. You know my hair dresser, the nice lady at the bank that notarizes my papers and of course the UPS lady.
Tell me what you have planned to make for your friends?
I think this is the sweetest card yet! Lift up the front stocking to reveal a gift card neatly tucked inside. The possibilities for this card. It could hang on the tree as an ornament cleaverly hiding the surprise within or it could be given as a Christmas Card. So many uses and of course I made it with my BIG SHOT! How many times to I have to say... I love my Big Shot!!!
I love this box. This box is the best for that hard to buy for female! You can fill it with exotic chocolates or anything she likes and best of all you made it! The kit for this beautiful box is 19.95 plus shipping and tax. Send me a email if you want to order!
Just wanted to share the really pretty cards that we will make today at my Uptown Card Class.
This card is just beautiful in person. The velvet stitched Ribbon #125637 is just the perfect accent for the Christmas Tree and I just love the Framed Tulip Emossing Folder! It is so easy making one of a kind cards with this embossing folder and the Big Shot. I just love my Big Shot!!! Do you have your Big Shot yet?
Kits are available for this card. If you want the kit let me know and I will tell you how to recieve the kit for FREE!

Highlighting: Circle Scissors Plus & Glass Mat (#112530 & 112531)
"Circles are appealing to the eye and make great accents on card, scrapbook and décor projects. Creating small circles using our punches is simple, but if you’ve tried to create larger circles by tracing objects like plates and cups and then cut them out by hand, you know how frustrating it can be to get a perfect circle in just the size you want. Well, the circle of creativity just bigger and easier! The ultimate tool for circle making has arrived - the Circle Scissor Plus! Simply place the Circle Scissor Plus and your card stock or Designer Series paper atop the Glass Mat and rotate the cutting handle for smooth and beautiful circles from 2” to 6”. This new spin on an old problem makes the Circle Scissor Plus and Glass Mat a must-have tool!"
For best results apply Dotto directly to the Glass mat to hold the card stock in place while cutting.
I had a request from another demonstrator to show pictures of where I hold my stamping classes.
This home belonged to my Grandmother who has passed away. My father now owns the home and allows me to have my classes. The floors are solid pine that my Dad installed and it is his belief that the pine could have been as old as the Civil War. If you ever stop by ask me to show you the lead pellet still in the floor today. I am very blessed to have such a wonderful place to hold my classes.
We had such a great time at Stampcation. Here are some pictures of my stampin family. In this picture with me are Susan and Nancy. They are a part of my downline. If you are wondering what we are holding it is a mustache on a stick. Such a cleaver fun thing to wear a mustache on a stick and you can make one too. Use our many Mustaches stampset on page 18 of the Idea Book and Catalog and cut out your favorite.
Here I am pictured with my adoptive Stampin Up! Family Emily and Deborah.
Just wanted to share some of the cards we made for the make and takes at Stampcation a couple of weeks ago. The above card is a trifold. You can kind of see the three flaps. The first flap has the white bakers twine. The second flap has the circle designer series paper and when the card is fully open you see the Wister card base. Very cool card technique.
This card is very cute!! the card base measures 4" x 8" and has two layers. The first layer is old olive and the second layer is designer series paper Berry Blossom #122350. I punch this out using the 1" square punch to give the quilted look. Now in the middle is a really cool thing... I used the Peekaboo frame Bigz L Die so the front of the card has a secret message hidden underneath.
This card turned out really cute too. Again one of the frames off the Peekaboo Die was used for a secret message.
Some great items have been added to the Clearance Rack in the Online Store, including some holiday products! Be sure to check it out! Great deals on high-quality, discontinued Stampin' Up! products in the Clearance Rack.

A couple of weeks ago I posted about a criss-cross card and used the Designer Series Paper called Flirtatious Specialty. This paper is just beautiful so I wanted to post a few samples I received at Convention this year.
This paper is so delicate and girly. You could use it to scrapbook too. You can the paper on page 183 of the 2011 -2012 Idea Book and Catalog.
Hi Everyone Yesterday we had so much fun making cards with the Pennant Parade stampset and the Petite Pennants Builder punch. we made the three cards that are displayed below and I wanted to pass along one more card I found on the many blog hops that I do. So cute!!!
Aren't these cards adorable? Wouldn't you like to make them? Come join the fun at my Uptown Card Class on Tuesday August 30, 2011 6pm. to 8 pm.
You will make the three cards shown above and go home with directions to make six more designs. I can even see these cute designs being re-created as really cute scrapbook pages. Cost is $10.00 which includes all the materials to make the three cards. You will need to bring some adhesive, scissors and a bone tool. Don't have these items? No problem... I have adhesive on hand for sell and I do have spare scissors and bone tools.
It is not too late to sign up for my Uptown Card Class but time is running out so Hurry!!!! I will need your RSVP by tomorrow at 5pm.
This s a fun and unique way to display photos of your family. I saw this project at Stampin' Ups! Convention this July. I took an embordery hoop and painted it black. I then used the inside hoop to trace a pattern on the designer series paper "Timeless Portrait". All of our designer series paper can be found on pages 183 thru 186 of our 2011- 2012 Idea Book & Catalog.
I love the way the designer series paper provides the tree for me to place my pictures and build my family tree. From there I just added ribbon and our family name. The letters were cut using the Big Shot and our medium alphabet die Timeless Type Junior Alphabet on page 224. I plan on doing more of these.. a couple of small ones and maybe one medium.

We had a wonderful downline meeting today and I wanted to share this really cute box that all my girls made.
The box is made with the #2 box die and Pool Party card stock. Next stamp using one of the solid stamps from the Raining Flowers stampset and Pool Party classic ink to give a tone on tone look. When I went to convention the Raining Flowers Stampset was one of the free sets we received in our convention bag.
Stamp all over a 3 x 11 piece of Calypso Coral using Calypso Coral Classic ink and one of the linear stamps from the Raining Flower stampset. Take the scallop boarder punch and punch along 3" edge (top and bottom) of the strip of Calypso Coral card stock.
Place the box in the center of the strip of Calypso Coral. Pull up each side of the strip until they are even and do a soft score with your finger at the bottom. Using a 1" circle punch punch through both at the same. Cut a 16" piece of Daffodil Delight 1 1/4" stripped ribbon 16" long. Run the ribbon down the front, up the back and through the hole. Tie a square knot. Next take a scrap of Whisper White card stock and stamp the flower image in Pool Party and cut out. Apply with glue dot to the front of the box on the ribbon. Final step is adhere the button. The button is from the Brights Designer Button collection located on page 197 of the 2011 / 2012 Idea Book and Catalog.
